Corporate social responsibility is not focused only towards big business
15 June 2010, Soroca. The Global Compact project implemented by UNDP, organized a seminar on "Corporate Social Responsibility for SME" hosted by the Business Incubator in Soroca (IAS). The event was attended by 20 managers, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local government and IAS administration.

New Publication Highlights SME Approaches to Corporate Responsibility
The UNDP Nordic Office and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs have released a new guidance publication focusing on the implementation of the Global Compact principles by small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs). Small and Medium Sized Enterprises on Their Way Towards Global Responsibility showcases the efforts of ten Danish businesses in addressing common human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption challenges. Based on the companies’ experiences, the guide presents a number of practical recommendations for SMEs seeking to find the right approach to the implementation of the Global Compact principles in their strategy and operations.

Global Compact Board Meeting report Now Available
The Global Compact Office has released the final report of the most recent meeting of the Global Compact Board, held on 24 July at UN Headquarters in New York.As the discussion of the Global Compact’s integrity measures was given significant time during the Board’s deliberations, the Global Compact Office has developed a brief statement seeking to clarify the role of the integrity measures within the Global Compact’s governance framework.

On 25th June took place the semester meeting of GCNM members. During the event the companies: Mediapro LTD, MIEPO, Mentor- Grup, ProConsulting, Prime Capital and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RM received member certificates.
